What's going on in the yard? It's your boy D Ward getting ready to go to sleep but I just wanted to drop in real quick and let you know what's really going on. Sorry I have been MIA for the last week things have kind of been hectic here in New York. Certain media organizations chose to report false news, which then got the police involved. Once the police realized that I wasn't at the club or involved at all my agents Peter Schaffer and Audie Attar released several press statements regarding the incident. I also did an interview on Sports Center reassuring the public that I had nothing to do with this situation. This is an unfortunate situation for Plaxico and our team anytime you see one of our brothers in any type of situation it's disheartening. We care about Plaxico, he is our brother and I want to wish him the best and I hope he comes out of this a stronger person.
I just want to put this all behind me. I have a great team, coaching staff, and management staff supporting me. I am going to continue to work hard for my team and for the city of New York. I am blessed to have this opportunity to play in the NFL, the New York Giants, and I would never take it for granted. I am going to work extra hard on and off the field to represent the New York Giants to the best of my ability.
I have had a great week of practice regardless of all the media distractions. The Giants are resilient and we don't crack under pressure. As many people know New York is one of the most scrutinized cities when it comes to sports franchises. We are currently 11-1 and in prime position to make another run for the super bowl. My teammates, coaching staff, and I will not let anything get in our way to achieve our ultimate goal in winning another super bowl. Philadelphia's defense has been susceptible to big plays this year, so I am going to do my best running and catching the ball to make things happen. It's going to be a cold one so bundle up and I will catch you post game for another blog. After this week I will be back on my regular schedule and sorry again for this unfortunate situation. new york is THE most scrutinized place in the country when it comes to sports but thas cuz we care too much. too bad u was dragged into the whole mess but yall got unbelieveable focus. good luck 12 hours from now. just play ya game and we gon be aight. peace kid.

Nobody is doubting you Derrick, you just keep doing your thing and our running game will be fine. The Eagles game was just one of those games where nothing went right, like the Cleveland game. And besides, I am sure the Giants are smart enough to realize that running the table is not easy. An it did not do the Patriots any good last year. Keep fighting brother, and take it to the Cowboys next week and put them out of their misery.

Derrick, you are a true class act for coming on here and setting things straight yourself. It's nice to hear things straight from the source instead of reading it from some reporter who is guessing at the truth half the time.
Now everybody's gonna say you guys were distracted by the whole Plax situation and that's why you lost to the Eagles. I don't buy that for a second. The Eagles are a solid football team who is playing for their lives right now, and they simply outplayed you yesterday. It's okay, you're not gonna win every game. Antonio Pierce being involved in the Plax thing has nothing to do with him being able to cover Brian Westbrook one on one. Westbrook wins that matchup every time. I'm not worried about you guys at all. Get it done next week against Dallas and let's get home field throughout!!! -
