The Chicago Cubs and Miami Marlins will have to wait another day to begin their four-game series. Instead of beginning on Thursday as expected, the teams will begin the series on Friday, with a split doubleheader occurring on Saturday. Thursday's game has officially been postponed due to inclement weather.
No game tonight. No show tonight. We will have representation in the bleachers TOMORROW! So follow along. https://t.co/MCmapRY2Ib

The Cubs and Marlins were set to trot out RHP Jameson Taillon and LHP AJ Puk, respectively on Thursday. Taillon was expected to make his season debut on Thursday, but will now throw on Friday, or potentially in one of Saturday's two games to keep Shota Imanaga on a normal schedule. At this point in the season though, don't be surprised if Craig Counsell opts for the rest route and just pushes everyone back a day.
As it stands, here are the days and times for the four-game series following Thursday's postponement:
The Cubs will happily take a day off after a grueling west coast road trip. The Cubs finished the trip 5-4 and with two series wins on the trip. The Cubs are coming off an important 5-3 win on Wednesday over the Arizona Diamondbacks.
