NBA Props for Tuesday 4/9: KD is OK with us

With college hoops done for the season, we are now "stuck" with the NBA the rest of the way. That is not too bad, but it can be a little tricky as this part of the season has so many variables we did not have to deal with in the middle. Namely, who is playing and for what.

After last night's vacant schedule, we have almost the whole league in action tonight. There are 14 games. The West is where the best games are, but Atlanta and Miami in the East is actually of some import.

NBA Props for Tuesday, April 9

Kelly Olynyk Over 7.5 Rebounds (+110)
Pacers vs. Raptors, 7 p.m. ET

The Raptors are out of it. Olynyk is a known quantity and he is getting a lot of playing time down the stretch because Toronto does not have any other big men to take it from him. They ended a long losing streak last week, so they have not totally "given up" and his rebounding totals over the last three games were nine, seven, and seven. In a swift-paced game against Indiana, there is great opportunity there.

Kevin Durant over 6.5 Rebounds (+105)
Clippers vs. Suns, 10 p.m. ET

The Suns might have been hoping to rest their stars down the stretch but they have not set themselves up to do so. They need to bank a few more wins to avoid the play-in and that means more minutes for that group. This is priced right at his seasonal average so it is an easy one to hit. He also grabbed seven rebounds in his one game against the Clippers this season.

Terance Mann Over 3.5 Rebounds (+114)
Clippers vs. Suns, 10 p.m. ET

Similar to the above, the Clippers need this game just like the Suns. They are in good shape but need another win or two to ensure hosting in the playoffs. Mann is going to get a lot of playing time trying to lock up one of the Suns' stars and this is pretty much right at his season averages. He has four rebounds in each of the last two games. In two games against Phoenix has has five rebounds and three rebounds this season.

Delano Banton Over 2.5 Three Pointers (+130)
Pelicans vs. Trail Blazers, 10 p.m. ET

I am probably a little more familiar with Banton than most from his time in Toronto. I don't know if it is a long-term fit but he is getting a chance to prove his long-term NBA viability with Portland right now. In March and April, he is averaging more than 30 minutes a night and putting the balk in the basket. He is making better than 35% from deep in that stretch and with volume, 10 straight games with at least four attempts. The opportunity is there and the payoff is good.
